Fun with Hayden and Emma!

So my niece and nephew have been here since Sunday night and we've been having a blast!  There have definitely been stressful moments, and it definitely hasn't felt like I've been off work but... time is flying by!  I can't believe how fast the days have been going.  Hayden and Emma are like little people now, I remember holding them in my arms at the hospital and I just can't believe how much they've grown up!  *Tear*

The first night they got here it was pretty late at night, but we did some coloring and watched Tangled.  I kept falling asleep and Emma would ask "Crystal, why are your eyes closed?"  Lol because I am an old lady!  :)

The next day Chad was off work so we got ready and went to IFA to see the baby chicks, baby ducks, and baby rabbits.  So cool!  They were all so cute, I wish they would stay that way because I would totally be taking them home if they did!!

We also went to visit Grandpa!!

The next day (yesterday), we did some coloring with the chalk outside.  Well, Emma did.  We tried to convince Hayden to come out but he was glued to the playstation.  Luckily today we got him to come out and color and even play frisbee!

Look at Emma with chalk on her nose, isn't that cute?~!

Later that night we roasted hot dogs in the fire pit for dinner.  It got a little windy but we had fun!  They just love hanging out with Uncle Chad :)

After Chad was done playing in the garage....

It was time for ATV racing!!

Like I was saying earlier, today was filled with more chalk colorings and playing frisbee!  It was a pretty nice day outside so we might as well take full advantage of it :)

It's been a fun adventure so far, I wonder if my sister is having fun in Mexico?  (I know, silly question!)

No Foolin', I quit!

Last Friday was my last day at work!! It was a great day, though I did have some April Fool's pranks played on me! I sat down in my chair and it wobbled all over the place, I thought it was busted! I was trying so hard to figure out what was wrong with it, come to find out someone had taken all the wheels off of it and hidden them! Then my phone was unplugged and my pen was taped to the desk, LOL. When I left to go to the bathroom I came back and there was a "stripper pole" put up for me! See for yourself:

And a pill bottle next to it because apparently strippers are heavy pill users? LOL

There was a little story behind it. The day before this stripper pole I was leaving work for the day and my co worker ask what I was going to do that night. Well I said I was going to go to my step class and she was like what???? My other co worker pipes in and jokingly says "She's going to strip class". So then they ask if I will give them a demonstration tomorrow and I say sure as long as I have a pole. Then another girl pipes in and says "I'll be your pole!". Oh boy, that was my queue to leave! Lol so lo and behold they got me a pole! I just really have to laugh at that, it was so creative! Too bad the money on the pole wasn't real! They threw an ice cream party for my leaving and Chad brought me pizza at lunch time to celebrate my last day.

It was definitely weird cleaning out my desk and saying goodbye to everyone. I've worked there the last 5 years, ever since finishing high school and it's been the only "real job" I've had. But I'm really excited to focus on my health and school in the meantime! Even though I had a decent job, I wasn't happy doing it and it doesn't matter how good the benefits are if you're not happy. I'll be going to school for medical assisting which I think will be a lot better fit for me.

So Chad was supposed to be working Friday and Saturday nights but he ended up being off work, which turned out to be a lot of fun! Friday night we worked on the yard for a little but, he would rake up leaves and leftover dead stuff and I would come around on the 4 wheeler and put it in a box and drive it back to the fire pit. I didn't need to do that and it was silly but I was having so much fun! Then we went to the store and rented Tangled!

I was REALLY tired throughout some of it and ended up falling asleep but what I saw of it was very cute! I love the animation on it. I'm sure I will see the rest of it sometime this week since my Hayden and Emma are coming over tonight and staying for the week! My lucky sister gets to go to Mexico for like the FIFTH time, wish I could go even once!

On Saturday Chad and I did some more yardwork. I mowed the lawn while he trimmed and got some other things done. We decided to have ribs and apple cobbler made in the dutch ovens and it turned out to be really good! It was actually a lot of work and ended up taking us longer than we thought but that's okay, maybe I burned off some extra calories!

Here's Chad and his dessert:

Doesn't this look delicious? We put cake batter ice cream with it instead of vanilla and it was soo yummy! We have TONS of leftovers so if anyone wants some, come get it! lol ;)

Now with all these scrumptious pictures, it should be said that we did do SOMETHING healthy this weekend! We went to IFA and picked out seeds for our garden, as well as some tomato, jalapeno, and strawberry plants! I can't wait to make some canned salsa this year!

On the agenda today before Chad went to work was a cermony to rid the shoes that I've been wearing to work! They had holes in the bottom where everytime it rained or snowed cold water would seep up and make me socks all wet, it was a long winter! :( I didn't want to buy new shoes because I knew I'd be quitting one of these days. So long ya junkie shoes!

Showing off the bottom holes:

 Drop kicking them:

 Stomping the crap outta them:

Lol can ya tell I didn't like those shoes???!!??

So long!!

Anyway there is my weekend in a nutshell so far! I need to head to the store today to get some supplies for crafts and such with the kiddos!
:)
Hope you are all having a great weekend!

I'll end off with a most recent picture of yours truly! :)

Halloween & The Mountains

Well there's been a few things going on since my last post, these blogs are hard to keep up with!

A while ago we went to Amber and Drey's house to carve pumpkins.

Our finished product, aren't they cute!?

After that we decorated sugar cookies, MMMMMM!!!

We then were all hopped up on sugar and Drey agreed to have his head painted in frosting for the Oregon Ducks. That's dedication!

We brought our lil' punkins home for the first time, awwwww!  HAHA

We had a lot of fun that night!!!!

The next weekend we went to Lagoon on a rainy day and the lines were SO incredibly SHORT!!!  It was an amazing time!  I only got one picture of us taken at the beginning of the day because we were like kids in a candy store.  By the time 4:30 rolled around we had ridden everything there was to ride (or that we wanted to ride).  The weather held out pretty well until that time so it turned out perfect!  The last ride we went on was the swings and we got drenched on that ride so we grabbed a hot cinnamon roll and headed home where we took a 2 hour nap.  Gotta love those!

On Halloween night (well, Saturday the 30th technically) we decided to stay home and cuddle up inside.  We bought candy for trick or treaters but wasn't sure if we would get any because of the road we live on.  I told Chad that even if we only got ONE trick or treater I would be pleased.  We turned on the porch light and lit up our aging pumpkins.

Then came the wait.  We were watching Sex and the City when the doorbell rang!  At last, trick or treaters!  I ran to the door and there were FOUR children on our porch.  Success!!!!  I held down the bowl for them to pick their own candy and they looked at me like I was crazy.  One of them took 2 or 3 pieces, I can see now why people don't hold out their candy bowl haha.  One little boy was a little obnoxious chanting 'smell my feet, give me some candy or it's ok if you don't either way'.... Oh well....  it's okay because my first year as a home owner we had trick or treaters!!!

Over the weekend Chad and I took a trip to Heber because it had been so long.  We stopped at his parent's house to say hi, then headed to one of our favorite places: the mountains!  We ran into snow and muddy roads that we didn't dare try to drive up, so we hiked instead!

A baby pine tree!!!  I just thought it was so darn cute!

Look at me bein' all redneck haha ;)

I am so thankful for Daylight Savings Time!!!  Sunday we got SO much accomplished!!!  We woke up at 7 (would be 8 without the time change) and started on the yard.  I had the privilage of mowing the whole thing and we had the whole back of Chad's truck filled!  It was also time for our pumpkins to pass on.

R.I.P. Pumpkins, we love you!!!!
